~ This Saturday and Sunday is the annual JAFAX anime convention held in Allendale, Michigan (Grand Valley State University) and I am nervous with excitement. I nearly made myself sick last night. But all's well now. There's a few people I've been talking to online about this event and hope to see them there!

I went both days, go me! Saturday I left my current home in Holton which is about an hour drive to GVSU at 9AM. Sucks because my mom had to do some errands around Newaygo and Bailey. Gah! And the we set forth to the Holy Land... er the convention. Haa, we got lost because my mom didn't want to listen to the person who remembered the ways to and back from Allendale. As I have stated in a JAFAX.ORG forum thread about stories of making it or not making it to the convention, I am driving next year! Probably alone. Being over 2 hours lost in towns that you should know is quite embarrassing. Next time will be better.

The Vendors Hall when I got there was fricking hectic! I could barely get to the bathroom! I don't do my vending on day one, that's just plain noobish! Always do it on Sunday after 5PM, you can catch some great deals! What else did I do on Saturday? I watched the making of the Hare Hare Yukai dance! * [link] * That was held in another building later in the day. There is also a youtube video of a Berries and Cream dance! * [link] * I missed this one! I would have joined in a heart beat. Watch L run, LOL. If you get a chance watch the one with the Oar! That one's funny!

What else... I didn't do much. Watched Princess Mononoke for a while, watched the first 2 episodes of Tactics. Overall it was a rather lazy day.

Ha! While I watched Tactics my mom slept outside near the ball (Those who were there might have seen this) on a towel. After the show I came to sit with her. Then I notice the sprinklers across the way sunk into the ground, this sprung me into action. I was all "::shake, shake:: Get up!!" Just my luck too, to know when the sprinklers would kick on. But that was just one of those memorable expirences.

Sunday was a viewing room day. I watch Jin-Roh, the first 2 eppies of Azumanga Daioh, -took a break for McDonalds-, and came back to the adult room at 2PM. Yay hentai with bad voice acting! I only go in there for the humor. It's so funny in that room! Like in Dragon Pink (a hentai'ed up parody of various RPG games (the main guy looked like Parn from Record of Lodoss War, no joke)), everytime the 4 heros won a battle someone would start whistling or humming the victory song for the Final Fantasy games.

Next year looks promissing and I am hopeful. Lucky number 13!
